About this tour
Ixtapaluca and Texcoco are two destinations in the State of Mexico that boast a rich history, architecture, and culture. Their temples, ancient structures, and traditions offer a glimpse into the region’s past and reveal the customs that have shaped its identity over time.
Our tour will begin with a departure from Mexico City and a stop for breakfast along the way. Afterward, we’ll visit the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, where we’ll learn about part of its history and appreciate the architectural details that make this religious site so special.
We will continue on to the Parish Church and Former Convent of San Miguel Coatlinchán, a site that is part of the region’s historical heritage and will give us insight into the history of the colonial era and the importance of religious buildings in local communities.
We'll also visit the Regional Pulque Museum, where we'll learn about the history of this traditional drink, how it's made, and the role it has played in the daily lives and customs of different generations.
Finally, we'll have some free time to enjoy the local cuisine and explore the surrounding area before heading back to Mexico City.
